Fontshop has really outdone themselves this time. They have created something called  

Created by the designer/engineer Rob Meek, FontStruct is a free font-building tool that lets you quickly and easily create fonts constructed out of geometrical shapes.

Helvetica, the movie

Helvetica. It’s one of the most seen typefaces world wide. Some designers love it and some hate it. Now there is a movie about it.

This is really aimed at designers but it has some real insights for anyone who wants to know more about what goes into the design process.
